Nearly There
For most of my life, I have wanted to do one thing. To build a system that lets me build systems for managing content. So many things that I have wanted to build, but I thought about the time needed and would decide against it.
I think within a couple weeks I will have a very amazing system for managing everything that I want to keep track of. It's going to be infinitely expandable, too.
Keep reading to find out more about how it's going to function.
So, so tired.
It's been a pretty long weekend. Spring cleaning has destroyed my apartment. Spring cleaning is for the bicycles, not the house, so it's fine ;)
Sometimes I surprise myself
Yeah, a major upgrade to this website tonight. And somehow I managed to break composer for my blog posts at the same time. Oops.
Still, I am so happy with the way things turned out. There will be some adjustments over the next few weeks, but I think that overall the redesign is really awesome. I'd love to hear some feedback from people who work in the industry to hear what they thing, too.
And yeah, it might be one or two too many borders, curves or drop shadows. It's my website, not yours! I'll make it however I want! :)
Huh. 5.6.1.2 - finally OK?
I've probably been one of the more vocal people against the 5.6 branch. I see so many things that are awesome about it, but there have been a lot of things that kept me from using it in production. I think maybe 5.6.1.2 is actually ready.
Still, I'm only trying it on my personal site, not on anything production yet. There are a lot of great new features, but I haven't had enough time to dig into it and test everything.
Adjusting my landscape
Change has been coming lately, looking towards a different future. So many things that I need to focus on outside of what I have been. The first step was to delete my facebook account yesterday. So much more to come.
Advanced Permissions w/ Code in concrete5 ver 5.6+
The permissions model changed drastically with the last version of concrete5. I had to migrate a project started last October to the newer core today. This post documents what I found out about updating things after spending all day trying to sort through the core.
